Christmas mini envelope album

I was tempted by a book of 6" x 6" Christmas papers in a local store the other day and thought I'd use them to make an envelope mini album - I haven't made one for ages and they are really easy and very enjoyable to make.  The papers are called Vintage Noel.

Perfect

in every way...  The weekly challenge on Uks is all about grandparents - a subject close to my heart as my husband and I became very proud grandparents for the first time, five weeks ago today :)

This is the challenge.

Earlier this year I became a grandma to a beautiful little girl. so in recognition of this wonderful event I would like you to have 'GRANDPARENTS' as your subject for 10 points - could be you as a grandparent, your children with their grandparents, a heritage LO showing great great grandparents, .....

I have SO much stash, and tools that I need to use
so please use stickers or ribbon on your LO - 10 points
and use punches or your die cutter - 10 points

To summarise..
Grandparents - 10 points
Stickers / Ribbon - 10 points
punches / dies - 10 points

Here is my take on it.

and this is the journalling.

Hello beautiful

When I saw Sue's super sketch I thought, lovely, a nice simple page, I'll have it done in 15 minutes, 30 minutes tops.   When I started to do all the hand sewing I realised it was going to take me a tad longer but I am pleased with the result.  I'm not good at white space (or in this case, pink space) and tend to keep adding things, but I have on this occasion, kept it simple and, yes, sometimes, less is more!

Today Erin-Rose is one month old and now weighs in at 9lb 14oz so she is gaining weight nicely:)
